What Does It Mean to Be Fierce & Flawed?

Fierce: "having or displaying an intense or ferocious aggressiveness."
"Proud, Strong, Impressive, Intense, Confident"
Flawed: "blemished, damaged, or imperfect in some way."
As a woman in today's society it can be difficult to accept our flaws. We are expected to look, act, and live up to certain stereotypes. I've learned that no matter how hard you try to live up to society's expectations, you will never fully be happy in the process. It is important to accept ourselves, flaws and all. With acceptance and confidence, brings true happiness. Love your physical and mental characteristics. They are what make us beautiful.
I know this may sound a little cliché. Everyone always uses the phrase, "love yourself" and "your flaws are what make you, you." These phrases are used so frequently for one reason only; simply because they are true.
I try to always stay fierce and flawed. My personal definition of being fierce and flawed is staying strong, proud, and confident. It is about accepting ourselves and all of our imperfections that make us individually unique.
I love Stina Persson's artwork from her "Perfectly Flawed" showcase. It is an example of how beautiful imperfect things are in this world. The photo above is one of her fiercest pieces. It represents so much courage, strength, and confidence. It represents the beauty in each and every flaw within a person.
Happiness starts with self love & self acceptance!
Stay fierce & flawed.
