It's been almost four months since I've taken a trip and since I am someone who really enjoys traveling, I am dying to take another one soon. Winters in Minnesota are my least favorite times of the year. It's so cold and depressing. Traveling motivates me and gives me inspiration. Even if I am traveling to another cold state like Chicago or New York...
There is something about a change of scenery that is so refreshing and free.
Looking back at my last trip to Chicago last December is giving me vacation fever, lol. I loved downtown Chicago so much. It's like a mini New York. If it wasn't so expensive, I wouldn't mind relocating there.
Not to mention the shopping options are wayyy better than here in Minnesota. My entire outfit was purchased at Express in Chicago. Clothes, shoes, accessories, etc...
If your in Minnesota and are looking for an inexpensive mini get away, Chicago is always great! My plane ticket was only $80 round trip and there are a bunch of inexpensive hotel and airbnb options. I only stayed for 2 days but it was just the mini adventure I needed.
