Top 2015 Fashion Trends

Although there were numerous Fashion trends in 2015 that I loved. I decided to share my top favorite with you guys. I always lean towards simple classics that can be carried over year to year, season to season. These seven trends are an example of just that. They are timeless and will continue to be apart of my wardrobe in 2016.

Suede

The suede skirt was rated the most versatile trend of Fall 2015 Fashion by Glamour magazine and I happen to agree. I love the suede trend for it's soft yet edgy appearance. It adds a bit of flavor to any ensemble but still allows you to keep the look very classy. It is just as easy to style as leather is but it adds a calmer vibe to an outfit.

Wide Leg Trousers

Wide leg trousers were, at first, out of my comfort zone. I assumed they wouldn't work for me because of my height. I envisioned them only working well for people with longer legs. However, to my surprise, if styled correctly they work well with any height. I love them particularly with bodysuits and crop tops. They create an illusion of longer legs and are extremely comfortable. I personally would only wear them with heels though.

Faux Fur

I LOVE everything about faux fur right now. The vests, coats, scarfs/wraps; I am here for all of it! You can add faux fur to a basic white T and a pair of jeans for an effortlessly chic look. Faux fur can transform your whole wardrobe. I suggest adding one to help dress up some of your staple pieces.

*Side Note: I may do a "Ways to style Faux Fur" video soon.

Oversized Coats

Words cannot describe how much I am obsessed with coats. This obsession has lasted for about two years now. They are the simplest thing to style, EVER! A chic coat can take your look from plain Jane to fierce and fabulous with no effort needed at all.

" I hate when you’re like “fuck it’s so hot” and someone’s like “well why don’t you take your jacket off?” Like bitch no…this is my outfit. - unknown humor lol

Monochrome

Monochrome truly never goes out of style. The "Shades of Grey" trend was huge this year. Mixing various shades and tones of one color creates a little depth to your outfit. It makes wearing all one color a bit less boring. I'm not huge on color in my wardrobe. Most of my pieces are from the neutral color palette. So of course this trend works well for me. What can I say, I love my blacks, whites, greys, and nudes.

Body Suits & Midi Skirts

Lets talk about life savers! I am so glad these are back in style and are available at multiple stores now. I've always loved the tucked in look, but hated actually tucking in my tops. It's a pain and can have a messy appearance if you don't do it right. When it comes to creating the tucked in look, bodysuits save the day. Bodysuits work well with trousers, joggers, jeans, skirts, and shorts.

I am going to call 2015 the year of the Midi skirt for me. I have replaced most of my mini skirts and dresses with midi length ones this year. Personally, I find them easier to wear. Which is the main reason why I love this trend. I hate the amount of worry that comes with wearing mini skirts and dresses. I have thicker thighs so anything that rests on my thighs rises as I walk, which can be rather annoying. I don't have that problem with midi length skirts. Since they rest a little below your knees they stay in place. You get a great look without the fuss.
